(no subject)

Who: Mirai, Miyume.
Where: Dorms then Chitoku.
When: Tuesday, April 18th.
What: Whirlwind in the city.

Mirai inspected his watch as he waited outside the dorm, with bright glimmers of streetlight illuminating behind him against a dusk-shrouded path. These last few minutes took forever to pass - waiting was hard, like forcing yourself to work on an essay about your worst subject. Meanwhile, they piled more work on his shoulders after forcing him to his knees. It wasn't work. He kept imagining he heard his father telling him it was his duty. He had no intention of letting someone as unmerciful as his father tell him about duty.

It was utterly ridiculous. He assumed his father was calculating the kudos he would earn from having a son who was among the brightest hopes for the future. He shut his eyes. Then he whistled to himself and the worry was gone, so silently and quickly that it seemed he was taking no notice of it.

In the relative quiet, he had been keeping a silent watch on the dormitory. Now he saw the door open, not inviting but to let someone escape, and she was waving. Then he whistled his appreciation and set up a camera with his fingers. Seeing the dark sky, particularly such a starry one, had been calming. He hoped very much that other good things would happen.

Miyume blushed at Mirai's response to what she was wearing. It seemed her semi-frantic texting to Shizuru for advice had paid off. Of course, she'd had to borrow the short black skirt from a girl down the hall but she'd had an appropriately lacy blouse to go with it. After far too much deliberating, she left the top two buttons undone and put on a silver cross pendant she'd been given during her last hospital stay. She was wearing a pair of pearl stud earrings and had pulled her hair back from her face, fastening it with a hairclip designed to look like a seashell.

Miyume had done her make-up a little differently as well, looking up some cosmetic tips online. Even though it'd been her first time, it'd come out well. She looked a little more mature, she thought, though whether it was because of the make-up job or her expression, she couldn't be sure.

"I'm glad you like it," she said modestly, not quite able to keep the shyness completely out of her tone. "Are you ready to go?"

Miyume stared at scarf, stunned. Whatever she'd been expecting, it hadn't been this. Her mouth fell open slightly, her blush from moment before deepening to scarlet. However, she was smiling beautifully and there was a slight sheen of tears in her eyes, revealing just how unbelievably touched she actually was.

She took it with a hand that trembled slightly with emotion rather than weariness and carefully wound it around her neck and shoulders as if it was something far more precious and expensive than a simple wooly scarf. Once that was done, she leaned forward to kiss him on the cheek, lingering a moment.

"Thank you, Mirai," she said in total sincerity. "I love it."

"It is," she said with a small nod, a very pleased smile spreading across her face.

Her cheeks were still a little pink and her heart was racing. The possessive undertone to Mirai's action hadn't gone missed. She didn't look the slightest bit perturbed, if anything the gesture had simply ignited a spark deep within her and once more her gaze seemed far too mature to belong to a fifteen year old girl.

"The stars look beautiful tonight, don't they?" she murmured as she looked up at the sky.

It was such a non-sequitor that Miyume tore her eyes away from the sky to look at him. She studied his face curiously, searching for any indication of where that statement had come from.

"Honestly, not really. I guess I'm cute. That's what everyone says, anyway. How cute or adorable I am. I used to be a lot happier about it than I am now. I haven't really liked thinking about my body much the past few years."

On impulse, Miyume took his hand in hers and simply held it. She let her head droop a little toward his shoulder but stopped just short of actually resting it there.

"I do need more confidence," Miyume agreed. "And yes, you may. I need your help."

She didn't reply to his comment about thinking about her body directly but she did give seem to give permission in the form of a tolerant, affectionate smile.

"Of course."

Miyume looked up at him with a mixture of open fondness and admiration. Then she slipped her arm through his. She nestled close for a moment.

"Where do you want to go first?

[personal profile] phantomcloud 2013-08-29 12:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Miyume smiled with relief. So her hunch had been correct, after all. Once more Miyume mentally thanked Shizuru.

"Oh, my. I've never done that before," she admitted not sounding nearly as surprised as her words indicated. She smiled gently at Mirai.

"Please be gentle with me?"
phantomcloud: (sad; depressed)

[personal profile] phantomcloud 2013-08-29 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
It was strange. Even though Miyume had stopped giving much thought to what she wanted long ago, she found words spilling out of her mouth of their own volition, so quickly it felt more like she was merely a mouthpiece for someone else.

"I want to have fun. I want to be happy. I want to be free of constraints and judgement. People look at me like I'm not even here, like all they can see is themselves reflected in me. They're too caught up in their own belief that they know me that they never bother actually getting to know me."

The anger, frustration, misery, and disgust behind Miyume's words were unmistakable. When her thoughts began to stray back to Taue's casual comment about her being a moe-blob, she closed her eyes and simply focused on her breathing until she was able to speak calmly again.

"I'm sorry, Mirai. I didn't mean to dump this all on you so quickly."

Though she seemed to be standing a little taller now than she had before, she also looked more fragile and vulnerable somehow.

"It's been a long time since anybody's asked me what I wanted, I guess," she explained with a barely perceptible edge of shame in her voice.

"Oh," she said, turning pink with embarrassment.

The arm around her felt nice and so did the physical closeness. She began to relax a bit more. She still wasn't completely comfortable with this social life thing. Even before she'd gotten sick, Miyume hadn't been much of a social life. For as long as she could remember, people had always been more into her than she'd been with them.

Miyume leaned into his side, resting her head against his shoulder, wondering what he had been talking about and why he thought it'd be inappropriate.

[personal profile] phantomcloud 2013-08-29 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Miyume's face grew flushed for an entirely different reason. The way he was looking at her... nobody had ever seen her so clearly before. Not even Ayana during one of their better times. She felt naked under Mirai's intense gaze but rather than be scared of it or the future implications it suggested, Miyume found herself enjoying it somehow.

Feeling emotionally overwhelmed, not just by his but by her own as well, she pressed her face against his chest, all too aware of how her breathing and heartbeat quickened. She curled her fingers slightly in his shirt. After a moment, she embraced him entirely, wrapping her arms loosely around his waist.

"Mmm?"

Miyume had been in the middle of accepting and thoroughly enjoying the caring way Mirai was holding her. The warm haze of bliss lifted rather abruptly when he stepped back. She blinked a few times, as if being jarred awake from a very pleasant dream. The thought of simply pulling him back to her crossed at the fore front of her mind but instead, she simply looked at him with that soulful stare of hers that seemed to see far beyond the physical. She did, however, gently stroke his cheekbone with the back of her fingers.

"You're not forcing me into anything," she smiled reassuringly. "It has been hard and I would like you to finish your statement, Mirai. What would you be to me if I gave you complete reign over me and the decision was all yours to make?"

She caressed his cheek again.

"Tell me how you feel, Mirai? I'd like to know the truth. All of it, no matter how dark or terrible or inappropriate you think it might be."

Truth be told, Miyume did understand. As she'd promised, she didn't judge him. He liked having fun. Learning that he viewed her differently than those other girls made her breathe a small sigh of relief. His honesty put an encouraging smile on her face that widened the more he spoke.

She stepped forward again, slipping her arms his waist once more. She tilted her head back slightly so she could look at him earnestly.

"I don't think badly of you, Mirai. I don't believe I could," she said, sweet and sincere, eyes sparkling. "But don't go taking that as a challenge to prove me otherwise."

Without so much as a second thought or hesitation, Miyume removed her arms from around his waist, draping them around his shoulders and neck instead. A tiny, satisfied smile was the only warning Mirai got before Miyume suddenly stood on her tiptoes and pressed her lips firmly against his.

A pleasant shiver ran up Miyume's spine. Her inexperience and desire to know more made her a very willing student. Her breathing and heartbeat sped up again. The feelings of bliss from before returned. The kisses left her a little dizzy and she felt a warm feeling spring from somewhere deep inside her.

"This feels nice, senpai. Very nice. But would you rather go someplace a little more private? Where we can a little more comfortable?"

All thoughts of clubbing amd dancing had been firmly put on the background for now.

Miyume decided she liked this kissing thing. Especially when Mirai kissed and sucked at the front of her neck. Dimly, Miyume wondered if he'd left a mark, a thought that pleased her immensely.

"I trust you, Mirai," she murmured as she took the cane away from him. She turned away from him to face the path again.

"Are we taking a cab?"
phantomcloud: (now I get it; ohhh)

[personal profile] phantomcloud 2013-08-30 10:54 am (UTC)(link)
Miyume jumped at the smack, her question ending in a semi-coherent mumble. When she caught his smile, she stuck her tongue out at him then faced forward again.

"We'll take a cab, then. Do you know the address of the club we're going to?"

At least, the question distracted her from dwelling on just how good that spank had felt.

Miyume's angelic smile looked somewhat out of place in her current environment. She appreciated Mirai's efforts to keep his eyes on hers; that he was trying hard, even this early in the relationship brought her a curious sense of peace and comfort. She scooted a little closer to him, partly as a reward for his efforts, but mostly because she simply wanted more personal contact. Looking at her, one might assume her to be a bit tipsy but she'd ordered a virgin strawberry daiquiri rather than something alcoholic. The last thing she wanted to do was to force the night to an early close and passing out thanks to a bad interaction with her medications.

And in all honesty, Miyume was a bit distracted by all the new sights and sounds of Kobe's night life as well. It was like Mirai had opened the door to an entirely new world for her, one that no one had ever let her so much as glimpse before. There was something both calming and mesmerizing about watching people much older than her dance, some with more abandonment and less discretion than others.

After a moment, she rested a hand on Mirai's knee then spoke.

"Would you like to dance? The music's still a little too fast for me but when a slower one comes on I can dance with you."

"You can stay as long as you like," Miyume said, shifting slightly to allow him more access and comfort.

As if she'd done this a million times before, she instantly began stroking his hair, toying with individual strands here and there. Comfort was something she knew how to do, the one area Miyume still saw herself as competent in, even if half the time all she told were lies. This time she wasn't, however. There was something completely honest about her body language.

"We don't have to dance if you'd rather do this. I like this, too."

"What kinds of ideas?"

She closed her eyes, an almost dream-like contentment washing over her. She touched his temples and began to massage them gently with her fingertips. She sighed, feeling a bit like she was floating on a cloud, far removed from the rest of the world. There was an odd sort of detachment from the dancers and music playing, as if all of that was taking place just outside her reach.

"I'm curious."

Miyume chuckled to herself and let him hold her hands to his chest. She made no effort to do anything with them or actively touch him any way, however. She was content to just let him do what he wanted for now.

"And how would I best go about that, Mirai?" she asked in soft, oddly mesmerizing tone of voice. "How would you instruct me to ask you nicely?"

"Of course, Master Mirai," Miyume purred playfully, seeming to snap back to attention all of a sudden.

She began to rub her hands slowly in circles across his chest. Her fingers teased the open edges of his button down shirt, seeming like they might slip into it but falling just short of of doing so.

"Any ideas yet?"

Miyume didn't speak, she simply slipped her hands under his shirt, one breaking off to the right to comply with his request for a scratch. Her expression was calm and relaxed; the strain on her face from earlier was nowhere to be seen now.

While she didn't look particularly happy or sad, she did seem to have found a moment of peace. And in a life as riddles with obstacles as hers, peace was more than enough for Hazama Miyume. Happiness faded and sorrow always found its way home to her one way or another.
