Chloe caught the look that Miyume gave her, and she wanted to believe it. Wanted to, but couldn't. Not with the way the shorter girl looked at the moment. When this was all said and done she would definitely be at least checking in on her. Miyume was one of the only people who actually looked at her with kindness in their eyes.... she found it hard to just walk away from that.

When the soldiers began to speak again, her attention returned to them. The machine came to life again and she immediately tensed... but nothing happened. ALMOST nothing happened. That door definitely hadn't been there, never mind the fact it seemed to be one that lead to someplace between "what the hell" and "oh my god what". Single file, eh? Chloe's fists clenched uncomfortably. She had no idea what was on the other side of that door and wasn't sure if she actually wanted to find out... but what choice did she have? She had been 'drafted' after all. With her jaw set grimly, Chloe walked forward towards the door, her heart beating loudly in her ears as she followed the soldiers through.
