Holding the large stack of papers was a little inconvenient. But it was all necessary for the plan. Ryuta thought this as his posted some on the hallway wall, careful to align them perfectly and in noticeable areas. After all, the first step was to make himself known. And while there were other less tactful ways to grab attention, he felt that this was a better alternative overall. Luckily, news about his 'job' didn't reach the other students. That was not the kind of attention he wanted to garner.

He sat the large stack of papers beside him to examine his work so far. He grinned in admiration of his flawless work. The signs read 'Ryuta Tanemoto for Student Council President' on the top portion in large letters to grab attention, while a smaller print was used to detail his plans for once he took office. While it wasn't everything he wanted to do, he knew it would be best to first test the waters before promising too much. And he even mentioned that he would be open to ideas from the students. He stood their for a bit to admire his work and to take a quick break.

"Ah. Good day, Shikata." Ryuta addressed her as she walked by. Noticing the small ball of paper, he let out a tired sigh. "Really now. If they didn't like it, they should have voiced their concerns." A quick glance toward the trashcan revealed a small pile of tossed fliers. Another look toward the hallway showed that some of the fliers where torn down, rather recently too. "All that work and it ends in the trash. I should have expected as much at least."

"Hey," Haruka said, turning her head in his direction. Hearing the rest of what he said, she smoothed the crumpled paper and, after a beat, said, looking with commiseration,

"Sounds sucky." She held the paper out to him. "What work?"

"It's a flier. I made it to announce my candidacy for Student Council President," replying back to her question in a tired tone. Feeling exhausted from picking up all the tossed fliers, Ryuta leans against a nearby wall for support as he thinks to himself.

"Perhaps I need to think of a different approach..."

Haruka seems to absorb that, as she listened to the considerable amount of paper rustling and the tiredness in his voice.

"Maybe?" She replied, tilting her head a bit. "There's always the school network if you don't mind a few trolls but at least it's harder to rip up your work? Unless you mean dealing with certain people, where Defeat Equals Friendship would be really tempting?"

"I was thinking that, but it wouldn't work. If people hide behind their computers, you can't really get a feel for them. I rather do things in person."

"There is is that option..." He mumbled to himself, but quickly dismissed the thought. "Anyway, what are you doing, Shikata?" The thought occurred to him that she may have been passing by, but he wanted to change the subject nonetheless.

"Huh. I find not really? People don't really censor themselves online, since pesky things like face to face contact doesn't get in the way.

"Nothing much. Just grabbing coffee from machine and off to tackle script for tomorrow." She shrugged. "Want to come with?"
