Who: Haruka+Mirai
Where: Mount Rokko
When: Sunday April 23rd, day
What: Biking and Social link GO~
Several days after the idea, Haruka met up with Imaizumi downtown for that trip to Mount Rokko. Getting there was a bit difficult, between the traffic and noise occasionally drowning out Haruka's headphone but once they got out of the downtown area, it wasn't too bad. Noise died down, a pleasant breeze blew by (or that might just have been the freer space), and she started hearing differences in the road as the wheels pass over.
She adjusted her headphone again, memorizing the instructions it rattled off, before turning to the volume down. Turning her head in Imaizumi's direction, she asked,
"Holding up, senpai?"

Mirai's voice came from some way away, and was absent-minded as he focused on the flowing water in front of him. The stream was churning as the water flowed over and around rocks in a hurry, causing the stream to turn white in parts. Then he was paying more attention to leaning over the rocks that made up the side of this natural waterfall. Whose noise was coming from overhead.
It did not look like a place where he was capable of being disturbed.

She took out her headphone and put it back with her piPod and started feeling the path with her cane. The path felt mostly clear but it became rocky as she walked closer to the riverbed. The water ran quickly, falling over in what sounded like short drop and when she stuck her cane in, it didn't feel particularly deep where they were.
Eventually, she came to where her cane lightly hit a shoe. Right at the edge of the riverbed.
Haruka stared for a moment. Before a little smirk worked it's way across her face.
And then she gave Imaizumi a light push.

There followed an anticipatory silence. Thoughts were getting darker behind his eyes, which hid them with a spark of mischief as the sodden collar of his shirt aggravated him - and he spat some of the water at her.
"You're such an ass."
no subject
"You said to give you a surprise sometime?" However, she seemed to be looking at him with concern. "You alright, wetness aside?"
It wasn't quite the same as pulling an umbrella out from someone already wet.

And though his mood and expression gave an uneasy feeling, it was lifted when the color of his eyes shone with a detached sort of curiosity.
"... Yeah. You do this to boys often?"
no subject
"Not really?" She replied. "It would be a bit weird to try and get every boy I know wet. So special case?"
no subject
"Oh, you think so? I thought it was just a harmless spot of fun. Still, Kiri-chan? What makes you think I'm special?" he asked simply.
no subject
"Also, I guess I'd only do it with friends?"
no subject
"Ah nice," said Mirai. "I suppose we're special friends." "I've got some things I only do to special friends. You should treasure that."
no subject
"Huh. Special friends?" She seemed to think on that a moment before she asked, "Like what?"

However, she shrugged anyway.
"Sure, if you're willing?"

He was entirely occupied with the thought of what they could get up to. So much that the sound of the water seemed to fade into the distance.

She shrugged and said, lightly,
"Huh. So you're that kind of guy?"
no subject
He spoke so dryly it was clear he wasn't guilty at all. The sound of water became audible again and he crossed his arms over his chest. "Yeah. I'm that kind of guy. When did I say I wasn't? Or... does it actually not bother you?"
no subject
"Not really." She smirked a little. "I'd only be that kind of girl with certain boys anyway?"
no subject
Mirai was finding Haruka more interesting but very much less innocent. A mean sense of humour, he thought - which meant he found himself having a rising respect for her.
"Would you do more than push them in a stream?"
no subject
"The many different things you do with different certain people."
no subject
"... Hmmm. I wonder what you get from it," he began saying. "Do you have a reason? Or is it a bit of fun?"
no subject
"What about you, senpai?"

She took a few leading steps down the path, where a set of stairs and a sign reading 'OBSERVATION POINT' pointed with an arrow.

Mirai wasn't telling. He was following behind up a wooden bridge traversing a natural rock-face, a marvelous sight of falling water, trees and mossy rocks. A glimpse down through the basin to the other side of the bridge was like a visit to another time. It reminded him nostalgically of some of the nature he had seen when young before he was being dragged all over Tokyo. Though it was certainly not comfortable musing with an audience, and he stepped back so controlled that he seemed not to have thought at all.
"Let's get going," he said.

Turning her head back, she said, "Oh yeah. I think this place also had some really good views of the town if you're interested in checking them out?"
no subject
Whatever enjoyment Haruka thought these views could give, he was interested in checking them out. He was glad that they were enjoying the same thing for once. And he came down the stairs behind as Haruka took her time in enjoying the sounds. He had a sly smirk come on his face then, and she had a pair of hands supporting her at the back.
"Careful," and "Steady now" and "Right then" he said, and he was guiding her down the last few steps that were rather tricky and had gaps here and there.
