Who: The Chitoku inaugural class.
Where: Chitoku campus, various locations.
When: Sunday, April 3, 2022, two days before the start of spring term.
What: The school has opened its doors.
After eight years of careful planning and preparation, the campus of Chitoku Academy for the Gifted was coming alive at last. Helpful staff members had been posted everywhere in anticipation of the crowd, and seemingly every variable had been accounted for in order to make the move-in and initial orientation go as smoothly as possible...
Save, that is, for the weather.
The sky had just opened up on several hundred students and their families. Boxes and suitcases were being hastily hauled to whatever shelter could be found, with the aforementioned helpful staff members now acting as guides to the most convenient locations, and clusters of people seemed to naturally form around them, waiting for the downpour to slacken so the day could proceed.

Re: DORMS
Getting to the top floor of Yanagi was also easy, thanks to the elevators that the builders of the school had prudently invested in.
But the trip to the roof was decidedly harder--at least, it would likely be so for Miyume even if it wasn't so for Shizuru. There was a long, winding, steep flight of stairs between them and their objective, and Shizuru seemed content to tale them two at a time with her normal long, loping stride.
Re: DORMS
Maybe this hadn't been such a good idea, after all. She was dripping wet, starting to feel tired, and falling down these stairs would hurt, if not end up in serious injury.
But she'd told Shizuru she would be fine. She kind of owed it to the other girl to try, at least.
With a great deal more caution and a lot less speed, Miyume followed Shizuru upstairs.
Re: DORMS
"You still good for this?" It was about as close to solicitous as she generally got.
Re: DORMS
She didn't sound fine, however; she sounded tired and a little pained. Still, she kept doggedly heading up the stairs.
"I just can't climb as quickly as you can. Go on ahead and I'll meet you there, okay?"
